# SubuGlass Dice Descent Architecture
## Manifestation
SubuGlass uses **Dice Gem Things** as the embodied navigation grammar for temporal and content traversal.
This is not a clarification. This is the design.
Two layers coexist:
- **Subu globs** — temporal aggregation logic - **Dice Gem Things** — embodied rollable interface bodies
Subu globs are **not replaced**. They are the clustering layer that makes dense temporal data tractable.
Dice Gem Things give those clusters **shape, orientation, and interaction**.
---
# The Slab
The **Slab** is the resolution plane.
It is where Dice Gem Things:
- land - roll - resolve - expose faces - activate navigation
The slab is therefore:
- a **roll surface** - a **reading surface** - a **temporal descent interpreter** - a **content embodiment plane**
All dice interactions resolve through the slab.
---
# Temporal Hierarchy (Subu)
10,000 days cannot be rendered as 10,000 simultaneous objects.
Time is clustered into nested Subu bodies:
Mega Subu = Year Major Subu = Month Minor Subu = Week Subu = Day
These are not labels. They are **actual navigable containers**.
---
# Recursive Dice Descent
Subu gems themselves are the rollable bodies.
Faces do **not represent final content** at upper levels.
Instead they represent **entry surfaces into the next temporal layer**.
Mega Subu ↓ roll Major Subu ↓ roll Minor Subu ↓ roll Day Subu ↓ roll Things created on that day
This means time navigation is **recursive descent**.
---
# Terminal Day Behavior
A **Day Subu** is the threshold where **time collapses into content**.
When a user arrives at a single day:
The **Day Subu becomes a content primitive**.
Its geometry derives from the Things created on that day.
Rolling the Day Subu reveals or navigates the day's contents.
time descent → day arrival → content embodiment
---
# Gnosis Dice
Dice Gem Things also represent **Gnosis content primitives**.
These are not temporal clusters.
They derive from:
- deck size - semantic density - gem structure - symbolic grouping
So the slab supports two classes of dice:
Subu Dice = temporal navigation bodies Gnosis Dice = content navigation bodies
Both share the same interaction grammar.
---
# Primitive Derivation
Dice Gem Things derive their geometry from the structure of what they contain.
Example mapping:
4 elements → tetrahedron 6 elements → cube 8 elements → octahedron 12 elements → dodecahedron 20 elements → icosahedron
This is implemented through the **Platonic pack system**.
Data shapes itself into geometry.
---
# Faces
Faces are **entry surfaces**, not just polygons.
Their meaning depends on depth:
### Cluster Levels
Face = descent entry to next temporal cluster.
### Day Level
Face = entry into content of that day.
---
# Relationship to Subu Globs
Subu globs remain the **aggregation logic**.
Dice Gem Things become the **embodied interface**.
10k day things → subu globs → dice gem bodies → slab resolution → recursive descent → day content embodiment
This is tandem architecture.
Not replacement.
---
# Interaction Grammar
The system now operates through a shared embodied grammar:
shape = interface face = entry roll = selection slab = interpreter depth = semantic context
---
# Operational Modes
### Temporal Descent
Navigate time from year → month → week → day.
### Day Content Exploration
Roll the Day Subu to reveal Things created that day.
### Gnosis Navigation
Roll content dice to traverse semantic structures.
---
# Design Truth
Dice Gem Things are **embodied interface bodies**.
They are not decorative geometry.
Their shape encodes:
- containment - density - navigation - interaction
SubuGlass therefore becomes:
a recursive temporal-content interface implemented through rollable geometric bodies resolved on the slab
---
# Full Descent
Mega Subu → Major Subu → Minor Subu → Day Subu → Things of that day
Time becomes geometry. Geometry becomes navigation. Navigation becomes content.
